When I saw Sophia Webster was having a Snapchat party (on snapchat, of course), I instantly RSVP’d to attend. I’ve long been a fan of Sophia and her shoes, and now she’s branched out into accessories (have you seen the Claudie Pom pom bag?!) and got herself a brand spanking new store, there was no reason for me not to pay it a little visit. Naturally the party was held at her new Mount Street Store, which is tucked away down a pretty mews street, and unsurprisingly the SW team had gone to down with the theme and decorations.
Pina Coladas were served from a Tiki Bar outside and we were left to eagerly browse the newly decorated store. My absolute favourites have the be the floral sales counter designed by Rebecca Law and the use of high heels as hooks for bags. Sophia Webster never ceases to amaze me when it comes to creativity, and she’s managed to create such a bold and enchanting brand through her love of flamingos, watermelons and all things feminine. The cornicing was even flamingo themed and the central sofa – to try on your SW shoes of course – was a plush lilac and neon pink. There was even a neon butterfly sign – a nod to her popular Chiara sandals perhaps?
I even got to talk to Sophia herself and she was just as bubbly and contagious in person as she is on her Snapchat, which if you don’t follow, you really should. Did I also mention that Sophia designed last seasons London Fashion Week Festival tote bag? You can read all about that here.
