If you havent heard of The Pool, is the perfect platform for busy working women on the go. A website full of bitesize articles on everything from what to eat this weekend to the best books to read at bedtime. They also partner with well known brands to do intimate one-off events, which brings me to the blog post. I attended their Hush x The Pool: Summer Party at Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings which promised an evening of fun, fashion and lots of cocktails. For those of you who aren’t aware, Hush is a clothing brand aimed at women of all ages and focuses on quality, timeless pieces that are comfortable and not at the expense of style. I do love Hush, but personally it has always been a little out of my price range.
The event cost £25 but you got a £25 voucher in your goody bag along with some other products, which was definitely a bonus. Plus you got to meet likeminded women in a beautiful space and enjoy a talk from Frankie Graddon, Fashion & Beauty Editor at The Pool, and Kat Farmer, Blogger from Does my bum look 40 in this? – she’s great fun, by the way. The talk discussed a host of summer style dilemmas and explored Hush’s new summer collection, with Kat injecting her fun and carefree sense of humour throughout. All whilst drinking tropical themed cocktails and devouring canapés.
It was definitely an interesting event and a great concept. I’d love to attend more of these events in the future with The Pool and other partners (I’m gutted I misses the Warehouse event!) and I’m excited to see what they do next! The Pool is definitely one to watch right now.
